Counsellor/Behavior Consultant 1.0 FTE

We are currently recruiting a 1.0 FTE  counsellor / behaviour consultant position.  This position is located in Lethbridge, AB and is available immediately.   • We are looking for a diverse, enthusiastic and innovative professional with the ability to multi-task and manage a flexible schedule.

  • The individual must be comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for participating in assessment, planning and implementation of intervention programs.

  • The successful candidate will provide counselling services to children, youth and families, as well as consulting and providing supervision to in-home support aides.

  • Experience working with individuals who have Developmental Disabilities, understanding of varied socio-economic factors, and competency supporting multi-cultural needs is an asset.

  • Out of town travel is a requirement and employees are compensated for travel costs.

    Additional requirements include:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work; Provisional Psychologist; Psychologist or related Master Level Degree

  • May consider candidates with a Bachelor degree in a related field, or Master Degree in Educational Psychology, who have significant related experience

  • Licensed or Registered Health Care Provider under the Health Professions Act

  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle

  • Criminal Record and CYIM check are required

Program Facilitator - Part Time

(KCC) is a multidisciplinary team of professionals including Behavior Consultants, Counsellors, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists. We are dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, and adults who have disabilities by helping them reach their full potential.

We are currently hiring for a Project I.C.E. Facilitator.  An ideal applicant is required to have daytime availability on Monday and Wednesday.  We offer competitive wages and benefits packages for eligible employees. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and organized person to join our Project I.C.E team.  Duties will include, but not be limited to, building rapport with program participants, facilitating the program through task evaluations and modules, reporting client progress, supporting participants with resume and interview skills, coordinating guest speakers and organizations to provide community opportunities (e.g. tours, work place volunteer opportunities), completing timesheet and tracking time in database by a deadline, and cleaning Project I.C.E. space between groups.  Other skills and qualifications include quality management, managing processes, coaching, communication processes and the ability to motivate others.  In addition, KCC will offer a strong level of support and training to ensure that candidates will feel successful and confident in this position. 

Additional requirements include:

  • Criminal Record Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment

  • Child Intervention Check from Southwest Alberta Child and Family Services

  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal vehicle

  • Experience working with at risk youth and/or developmental disabilities is an asset, but not required. 

  • Training in cultural sensitivity and awareness is an asset, but not required.

  • Supporting Individuals with Valued Attachments (SIVA) training is an asset, but not required. 

  • Up to date First Aid Certificate is an asset, but not required.
