Counsellor/Behavior Consultant 1.0 FTE

We are currently recruiting a 1.0 Full Time Counsellor / Behaviour Consultant.  The position is located in Lethbridge, AB and is available immediately. KCC provides a unique and positive work environment, competitive wages, and benefits. KCC provides frequent case consultation / clinical supervision / shadowing / mentorship and professional development opportunities encouraged and supported through a professional spending account. KCC offers a very flexible work schedule; valuing a family first philosophy. Consideration will be given if candidate is interested in both Behaviour Consultation and Counselling Support.

  • We are looking for a diverse, enthusiastic and innovative professional with the ability to multi-task and manage a flexible schedule.

  • The successful candidate will provide counselling services to children, youth, individuals and families, as well as consulting and providing supervision to in-home support aides.

  • Experience with counselling individuals who have developmental disabilities is an asset.

  • An understanding of varied socio-economic factors, and competency supporting multi-cultural needs is beneficial.

  • Out of town travel is a requirement and employees are compensated for travel costs.

Additional requirements include:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work; Provisional Psychologist; Psychologist or related Master Level Degree

  • May consider candidates with a Bachelor degree in a related field, i.e. BSW or Master Degree in Educational Psychology, who have significant related experience

  • Licensed or Registered Health Care Provider under the Health Professions Act

  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle

  • Criminal Record and CYIM check are required

Speech-Language Pathologist 0.6FTE

We are currently recruiting a 0.6 FTE Speech-Language Pathologist. The position is located in Lethbridge, AB and is available approximately August 15, 2019.

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and organized person to join our flexible and fast paced team.

  • The individual must be comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team and will be expected to participate in assessment, planning, and implementation of intervention programs.

  • Consultation and supervision of in-home support aides and educational assistants is also an expectation.

  • Experience working with individuals who have Developmental Disabilities, understanding of varied socio-economic factors, and competency supporting    multi-cultural needs is an asset.

  • Training in the Hanen "Learning Language and Loving It" program would be an asset

  • Out of town travel is a requirement and employees are compensated for travel costs.

Additional requirements include:

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • The successful applicant must be registered or eligible to be registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)

Program I.C.E. Facilitator / Behaviour Consultant 1.0 FTE

We are currently recruiting a 1.0 Full Time Program I.C.E. (Independence. Competency. Employment.) Facilitator / Behaviour Consultant.  The position is located in Lethbridge, AB and is available immediately.

  • As a Project I.C.E. Facilitator, the successful candidate will build rapport with program participants (approximately 14-18 years of age), facilitate the program through task evaluations and modules, report client progress, support participants with resume and interview skills, coordinate guest speakers and organizations to provide community opportunities (e.g. tours, work place volunteer opportunities).

  • As a Behavioral Consultant, the successful candidate will provide consultative services to children, youth, individuals and families, as well as consulting and providing supervision to in-home support aides.

  • Masters Degree in Social Work

  • May consider candidates with a Bachelor Degree in a related field, i.e. BSW or related Degree, who have significant related experience

  • Ideally a Licensed or Registered Health Care Provider under the Health Professions Act

  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle

  • Criminal Record and CYIM check are required

  • Experience working with at risk youth and/or developmental disabilities is an asset

  • Current First Aid Certificate is an asset
